New Digital Downloads

Four new files have been added to the shop/digital-downloads section. These are Lightburn files of the Chord and Scale charts that are Pick shaped. You can create a different Shape and use the chord shapes in your design. Endless possibilities. These are Lightburn files only. Any questions, we are happy to answer.

Hello friends. This past year, life has thrown me some curve balls. I have missed a lot of time in the shop and time making videos. I am back in the shop, and have been juggling cigar box guitars, Jigs and products. Pure Evil cbg will be listed soon. WoodPort Guitars Theme Tab

If you didn’t know, I have a Youtube Channel called Woodportguitars. I make videos of the guitars I am building. I have a little piece of music that I play at the beginning and end of the videos. I had a viewer request the tab, so they could learn it on cigar box guitar.

I am taking this request as a compliment. I have never had anyone ask me for tab of any piece of music that I have created. So, to have a request makes me happy.

If you are new to playing 3 string cigar box guitar, you might want to break this up in chunks, learn each one, then play them together.

The h = hammer on —you pick the first note, and hammer your finger down on the next note.

The s = slide — you pick the first note then slide to the next note without picking the note you slid to. In this music, you pick the second fret note, slide up to the fourth and back down to the second fret note, without picking the extra notes.

The lines below represent the strings on the guitar, with the lowest line being the lowest string in tone. Usually called the bottom string, because the tone is lower. The music on the channel is played on a 3 string cigar box guitar tuned to G d g.
